On October 9, starting at 12 p.m., an informational workshop organized by the Ministry of Economy was held at Trokut on the topic of applying for the Public Call “Apprenticeships for Craft Trades.” The workshop was led by Brankica Vrban and Tomislav Pavelić from the Ministry of Economy, who provided the attending craftsmen with a detailed explanation of how to correctly complete the application and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the call.
The Public Call is implemented as part of the project “Encouraging Vocational Education – Work-Based Learning” (SF.2.4.05.03.0001), financed by the European Social Fund+, and is based on the Program for Promoting Education in Craft Trades for the period 2025–2029.
The call is intended for licensed business entities—crafts, companies, and cooperatives—that accept students for apprenticeships and thus actively contribute to the development of vocational education.
The workshop served as an opportunity to exchange experiences, ask specific questions, and clarify any uncertainties related to the application process. The importance of connecting education and the economy was particularly emphasized, in order to ensure that students acquire practical knowledge and skills truly needed in the labor market.
We thank the representatives of the Ministry of Economy for their useful and informative presentation, as well as all the craftsmen who took the time to participate despite their busy schedules.
We look forward to future meetings and continued cooperation in promoting vocational education!
