Meetup – Branko Ban: “The Current State of the Electric Vehicle Market and Technology, Future Prospects, and the Role of Electric Machines in the Geopolitical Context”
On Wednesday, February 18, at 2:00 PM, Trokut hosted a professional meetup and lecture by Branko Ban titled “The Current State of the Electric Vehicle Market and Technology, Future Prospects, and the Role of Electric Machines in the Geopolitical Context.”
The lecture provided a comprehensive overview of current market and technological trends in the electric vehicle (EV) sector and covered topics including:
the development of key components and electric machines,
future technologies and new materials,
a comparison of the Chinese automotive industry with the rest of the world,
supply chains for critical materials and procurement challenges,
the impact of geopolitics and international policies on EV development.
The program concluded with an interesting case study on component verification under extremely low-temperature conditions.
About the speaker: Branko Ban was born in Šibenik in 1991. He holds degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Zagreb and Chalmers University of Technology, and earned his PhD in 2022. Since 2015, he has been working in the automotive industry, specializing in the research and development of electric machines and quality assurance. He is the author of several scientific papers and the holder of two patents.
