Think Future: Cybersecurity — Are You Safe? Trokut Šibenik Raises Key Questions About Cybersecurity

In a time when cyberattacks are everyday occurrences and digital security is a matter of survival, Trokut Šibenik successfully hosted a conference from the Think Future series entitled “Cybersecurity — Are You Safe?”

The conference took place in front of a full house at Trokut’s auditorium, starting at 12:30 PM, with strong participation from experts, entrepreneurs, students, and the wider IT community. Through a series of lectures and practical sessions, the event explored what it truly means to be “safe online” today and how well our systems, data, and businesses are actually protected.

The program began with a set of expert presentations providing an overview of the latest threats and best practices for protection — from social engineering and ransomware attacks to cloud security and the impact of artificial intelligence on cybersecurity.

Following the presentations, a panel discussion titled “Are You Safe?” was held, featuring Goran Oparnica (INsig2 d.o.o.), Ivan Vlahov (SPLX, a Zscaler Company), and Matija Verić (MIT poslovni procesi d.o.o.), moderated by Matea Doričić. The panel created a space for discussing real incidents, practical experiences, and concrete steps organizations can take to improve their security. This was followed by networking over food and drinks, where participants exchanged ideas and explored potential future collaborations.

The conference concluded with an ethical hacking workshop organized by the student IT club X.FER from FER University in Zagreb. The workshop was led by the club president, Danko Delimar, giving participants a unique behind-the-scenes perspective — how attackers think, common user mistakes, and how to implement quick and effective defenses through a Capture the Flag challenge.
