On Thursday, May 15, Trokut welcomed seventh-grade students from the “Domovinska Zahvalnost” Primary School in Knin. This educational visit was organized with the goal of encouraging interest in STEM fields and introducing students to the practical applications of modern technologies. It is worth highlighting that the students who participated in the workshop had achieved notable results at both county and national STEM competitions, further confirming their motivation and curiosity.
The students were accompanied by their computer science teachers, Nataša Mudronja and Petra Batić, and were guided through the program by Trokut’s IT team. The visit began with a tour of the Faust Vrančić STEM Park, where students had the opportunity to explore the inventions and legacy of this renowned Croatian inventor using virtual reality technology. The interactive experience was enriched by a fun quiz that tested their knowledge in an engaging way.
Following the tour, a robotics workshop was held in Trokut’s classroom. During the session, students independently assembled robots, learned about their basic functionalities, and programmed them to collect and read wind speed data from various remote locations. The workshop was designed to encourage teamwork, creative thinking, and problem-solving through hands-on tasks and the integration of knowledge from computer science and physics.
The visit concluded on a cheerful and inspiring note, with students taking away new knowledge, experiences, and a renewed drive to continue exploring and learning in the STEM fields. We believe that such encounters contribute to the development of their interests and can help guide them toward future career paths.
